Digitalisation is a key element for the success of any organisation in our world. This is particularly true for companies who need it to stay competitive in the global economy.

DigitaliseSME wants to help European SMEs face the challenge posed by digitalisation by providing them with the tailored support of a Digital Enabler. It will do so by setting up a win-win collaboration between them, where both entities will benefit from participation.

Digital Enablers will have the chance to join an EU-funded project that supports their sector and can provide them with visibility and strengthen their reputation. They’ll have the chance to work in a company abroad for a month, building new business contacts and enlarging their networks. They are likely to face a new challenge that will help them hone their knowledge and skills. Moreover, the project will provide a lump-sum grant of 8.000€ to cover for their time and work, while they will be offered lodging and meals by the company hosting them.

Companies, specifically SMEs and Mid-caps, will have a unique chance to digitalise to stay competitive. Digitalisation can help provide better services and manufacture products of higher quality, but also manage the internal resources more efficiently and reach out to new customers.

The project will benefit strongly any company aiming to digitalise: by registering with our portal they can be paired with a Digital Enabler that will study and work on their unique case – saving significant time on searching for an expert and saving the cost of his/her fees, as the Digital Enabler is provided with a grant from DigitaliseSME.

Partners from all over Europe joined and shared the vision of a program for the digitalisation of SMEs. The project consortium is mainly composed by European digital innovation hubs.

The participating associations are from Germany, Romania, Spain, the Netherlands and Czech Republic, under the leadership of the SME confederation “European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME”.

DigitaliseSME will develop through two main phases:

• September 2018 – February 2019: A pilot phase of five months will allow to test the way in which companies and Digital Enablers can be matched in the most benefitting fashion for both parties
• March – November 2019: An execution phase that, based upon the findings of the pilot phase, will match Digital Enablers and companies on a larger base.

If you are a digital expert and would like to register as a Digital Enabler, you can see the conditions for participation and register your profile here. Once your profile is evaluated and approved, it will be matched with a company that fits your profile.

If you are a company and would like to register to realise a digitalisation project, you can see the conditions for participation and register your profile here. Following a selection process and if selected, you will be asked to provide a detailed description of your specific needs and will then be matched with a corresponding Digital Enabler.
